June 8, 2016 – DPI is pleased to announce a contract award within the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response. DPI will continue to provide logistical services and operational management.

Support services will be continuing in a variety of functions such as emergency deployments of HHS response teams, meeting management, trainings and operational planning. “Our ongoing support of this contract, its mission and goals are central during emergency events both within the United States and worldwide”, said Andrea Stone, DPI’s Chief Executive Officer. “The deployments and planning are critical during events like the crisis in Flint, Michigan, hurricanes, and flooding throughout the nation. We are extremely honored to continue our work on this program in particular”.

June 6, 2016 – DPI is pleased to announce a contract award with the Department of Transportation, Federal Railroad Administration. DPI will provide program support and services across the administration to include policy, safety, financial, public affairs, and the office of the Administrator. “This contract is integral to the daily, weekly and quarterly success within critical FRA programs its executive staff”, said Andrea Stone, DPI’s Chief Executive Officer. “The FRA’s mission is critical to the nation’s railways and growing infrastructure, making these services paramount to the FRA’s mission”.

DPI sponsors Women in Homeland Security (WHS) hosting of numerous Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) field tripsthroughout the Washington, DC area. This year, more than 300 students will see “STEM in action” at public service careers like the U.S. Coast Guard, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Fairfax International Search & Rescue, FBI and others. WHS is a non-profit, non-partisan organization founded in March 2009 to provide a “professional organization for women working in the field of homeland security who are committed both to their jobs and to combating the threat of terrorism.”

Under Secretary for the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) Suzanne E. Spaulding received the Government and Technology Services Coalition GTSC for Most Valuable Player for Cyber Security during the 2015 Holiday party. The award was presented by Chief Executive Officer for Dynamic Pro Inc., Ms. Andrea Stone. Ms. Spaulding received the award for her clear vision on how to better leverage existing data, and open source tools while reinforcing NPPD’s critical mission and purpose. Since NPPD’s establishment in 2007, it has been dedicated to increasing the security and resiliency of the nation’s cyber and physical infrastructure against all possible threats by working with operators at the Federal, State and local level. Ms. Spaulding oversees the office of Biometric Identity Management, Cyber and Infrastructure Analysis, Cybersecurity and Communications, Infrastructure Protection, and the Federal Protective Service.

Congratulations to the presenters of the ITS panel during the Transportation Research Board 2016 annual meeting. This meeting was presided by Jane Lappin (Office of the Assistant Secretary for Research    and Technology, OST-R). Panelists included Leslie Richards (Pennsylvania Department of Transportation), Ken Leonard (Office of the Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology OST-R), Regina Hopper (ITS America), and John Bares (Uber).

The event illustrated collaboration between federal, state, local and private sector organizations collaborate to align decision-making. ITS is in the spotlight and looking to engage citizens in development and deployment of technology in transportation.

DPI sponsored the Women in Homeland Security (WHS) BBQ which took place on October 11, 2015. The BBQ is part of WHS’ annual fundraising effort that seeks to build morale and appreciation for those in the homeland security field by selecting a different charity related to homeland and bringing everyone together to raise money as a “team.”  This year’s charity is the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF).  Founded in 1984, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund is dedicated to honoring and remembering the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers in the United States.
