DPI was recently highlighted in an International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) Urgent Communications article that discusses a new National 911 Program initiative to develop a nationally uniform 911 data and information sharing system.  Over the past 16 months, DPI, in partnership with Mission Critical Partners, Inc., engaged several 911 community stakeholders to develop a strategic plan to serve as a framework for the process of defining the 911 community’s data and information needs, requirements, priorities and potential means to address these needs.  David Rathbun, PMP®, DPI’s Project Manager responsible for leading this effort, was also quoted in the article.

The document – 911 Data and Information Sharing: A Strategic Plan – was recently published on 911.gov to seek public feedback on its contents and to solicit recommendations for how to best implement the plan’s strategic goals and objectives.  The National 911 Program is scheduled to present this plan at the IWCE’s 2019 conference in Las Vegas, NV, on March 4.  The final document is expected to be published on 911.gov in early April 2019.
