DPI CEO Presents GTSC Award to NPPD Under Secretary, Suzanne Spaulding
Under Secretary for the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) Suzanne E. Spaulding received the Government and Technology Services Coalition GTSC for Most Valuable Player for Cyber Security during the 2015 Holiday party. The award was presented by Chief Executive Officer for Dynamic Pro Inc., Ms. Andrea Stone. Ms. Spaulding received the award for her clear vision on how to better leverage existing data, and open source tools while reinforcing NPPD’s critical mission and purpose. Since NPPD’s establishment in 2007, it has been dedicated to increasing the security and resiliency of the nation’s cyber and physical infrastructure against all possible threats by working with operators at the Federal, State and local level. Ms. Spaulding oversees the office of Biometric Identity Management, Cyber and Infrastructure Analysis, Cybersecurity and Communications, Infrastructure Protection, and the Federal Protective Service.
DPI’s Chief Executive Officer Andrea Stone stated, “This program, its mission and critical operations are central to the national security of each of our citizens in this country. The leadership shown by Ms. Spaulding and her staff are inspiring to all of us in the federal industry”.

DPI Attends the Transportation Research Board 2016 Annual Meeting
Congratulations to the presenters of the ITS panel during the Transportation Research Board 2016 annual meeting. This meeting was presided by Jane Lappin (Office of the Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology, OST-R). Panelists included Leslie Richards (Pennsylvania Department of Transportation), Ken Leonard (Office of the Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology OST-R), Regina Hopper (ITS America), and John Bares (Uber).
The event illustrated collaboration between federal, state, local and private sector organizations collaborate to align decision-making. ITS is in the spotlight and looking to engage citizens in development and deployment of technology in transportation.

DPI Supports 2016 State of The Union
DPI continues to provide emergency logistical support to the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) during the upcoming State of the Union. DPI provides ASPR with emergency preparedness and response services. We have developed and executed a wide variety of plans and responses for emergency scenarios and national events such as the papal visit and the deployment of medical corps members to help address Ebola viral disease.

The Council of Governments is an independent, nonprofit association where area leaders address regional issues affecting the District of Columbia, suburban Maryland, and Northern Virginia. MWCOG is a designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the region, and plays an important role as the regional forum for transportation planning. As such, it helps prepare plans and programs that the federal government must approve in order for federal-aid transportation funds to flow to the Washington region.
