DPI CEO Participates on Panel for the USDOT Small Business Opportunities Day.
DPI CEO Andrea Stone participated in a panel at the Department of Transportation on May 16 titled “Small Business Conversation: Best Practices – Doing Business with the Federal Government.” The panel was the opening to the small Business Opportunities Day event hosted by Secretary of Transportation Elaine L. Chao.
Ms. Stone provided her perspective as a business owner about best practices for successful projects with the federal government and conveyed how small businesses can work with Departments such as USDOT and connect with available government resources. “I was impressed with the high number of event attendees and the commitment that Secretary Chao expressed to small businesses” said Andrea Stone. “The DOT OSDBU does an excellent job at creating outreach programs to raise awareness of the small business community to contracting officers and program managers within DOT.”
Panelists included Charles Manger, Associate Administrator for Small Business, GSA; Ambuj Neupane, Program Analyst, SBA’s HubZone Program; and Michael J. McLaughlin, Acting Director, Office of Policy, Planning and Liaison, Government Contracting and Business Development.
