ASPR
Disaster response including logistics for conferences, meetings, trainings, and emergency deployments of HHS response teams
ASPR is a leader in preparing the nation and its communities to respond to and recover from public health and medical disasters and emergencies. ASPR is the principal adviser to the HHS Secretary responsible for providing integrated policy coordination and strategic direction with respect to all matters related to public health, medical preparedness, and deployment of the federal response for public health emergencies and incidents.
With DPI ASPR:
- Mobilized HHS response teams for scheduled events such as the 2015 papal visit and emergency deployments such as the Ebola outbreak in Africa
- Planned and executed comprehensive schedules that account for all transportation details, including coordination of team schedules, teaming, signage, onsite management, and radio communication
- Coordinated planned and emergency deployment and after action reports (AAR)
